What this site is

A description of the work I do and a way to write to me about it. Reading it does not create an agreement between us, and neither does sending an enquiry.

An engagement begins when both of us have agreed what it covers and what it costs, in writing. Nothing on this page does that on its own.

This is not advice

I write here about how families hold capital, about leasing rather than buying, about insurance, and about what a stone is worth. All of it is my point of view, formed by my own experience, and none of it is financial, investment, tax or legal advice.

I am not a licensed financial adviser and this site is not a recommendation to buy, sell, hold or arrange anything. Before you act on a decision of that size, take advice from somebody qualified to give it and regulated where you live.

Prices

The fees shown are the current fees for the work as described, and they are quoted in US dollars. Rare Luxury Acquisition is quoted against each brief, because what it costs depends on what you are asking me to find.

Prices can change. The price that applies to you is the one written into what we agree, not the one that happened to be on this page the day you read it.

The photographs

The portraits on this site are AI-generated likenesses of me rather than photographs. They are labelled as such in the footer, and they are here so the site could be finished before the photography was.

The three stock images in the acquisition section are licensed from Pexels and belong to their photographers.

What belongs to whom

The words, the design and the images on this site are mine, and the sites shown in the portfolio belong to the people whose names are on them.

You are welcome to quote a paragraph with a link back. You are not welcome to copy the site.

Links out

The portfolio links to sites my team built and runs. Beyond those, a link is not an endorsement, and what happens on somebody else's site is theirs to govern.

Where you stand if something goes wrong

I keep this site accurate and available, but I do not promise it is free of errors or never offline. To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for a loss that follows from relying on the site itself rather than on something I agreed with you directly.

Nothing here limits a liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

An engagement is governed by the law of the place where the work is carried out, and by the courts of that place. I work across borders, and it would be neither fair nor practical to hold a household in one country to the law of another because of where I happen to live.

This site itself, and any enquiry that does not become an engagement, are governed by the law of Kerala, India.

Changes

If these change, the date at the top changes with them.
